Guarding The Galaxy Again

Yes, it’s that time of the year again when we feast our eyes on the next Galaxy device set to take the throne, with the S22 looking to dazzle and impress all around. It’s design isn’t too different from the Galaxy S21 but to be honest we aren’t complaining as the S21 set a new standard in elegance for smartphones. While the Galaxy S22 clearly follows the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mantra it certainly looks to be a worthwhile upgrade. According to Tom’s Guide who were lucky enough to get their hands on the device, they were impressed by the contour cut build and improved performance, mentioning that Samsung has stated that the neural processing unit of the S22 has been increased by up to 133%. In simpler terms expect a significantly more powerful and faster device! While both the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus include identical specs, the S22 includes a 6.1-inch screen and 3700mAh battery compared to the Galaxy S22 Plus with a 6.6-inch display plus a 4500mAh capacity. Both include 8GB of RAM with 120Hz displays that make your 60Hz device feel laggy!

If you’re wondering how the cameras fare, Tom’s Guide were quite impressed as the Galaxy S22/S22 Plus offers a 50MP wide lens,a 12MP ultrawide lens alongside a 10MP telephoto one. There’s also a 10MP front camera with photos looking as a clear (pun intended) improvement over the Galaxy S21. Tom’s Guide was also impressed with the AI Stereo Depth Map feature, which aims to capture the most minute of details. There’s also 8K video capabilities so your vlogs can look better than ever. We have to admit, Samsung has truly delivered this time!

Note Coming

When we said that there’d be good news for fans of the Note, we weren’t joking. In a beautiful decision, Samsung has decided to keep the Note’s legacy ongoing by integrating it into the S Series! Indeed, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is basically the Note22 with a phablet style design and even a stylus. It truly is a fantastic manner of keeping a series with a devoted following, and now a beginning of the year release as opposed to later on in the year only makes it even more enticing. The Galaxy S22 Ultra has been impressing reviewers so far, with CNET praising its ginormous 5000mAh battery, S-Pen support with significantly reduced latency alongside the ability to transcribe handwritten notes to text in an impressive 88 languages. There’s also a massive 6.8-inch display combined with a 1440x3088 resolution with a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate plus in terms of RAM, expect 8GB with the 128GB variant and 12GB bundled with the 1TB version. Those of you asking how the Galaxy S22 Ultra will cope with their Instagram addiction will be quite pleased to hear that the Note22… we meant Galaxy S22 Ultra includes a 108MP wide lens, a 12MP ultrawide camera,a 10MP telephoto and front camera so all your exploits will look more than noteworthy. The Note is back and better than ever!

The Galaxy Tab S8 Series certainly looks to be a safe yet worthy improvement for Samsung’s iPad competitor. According to TechRadar, the Tab S8 is looking to be a solid purchase, offering a vivid display plus 11 inches of goodness with a 2560 x 1600 resolution combined with a buttery-smooth 120Hz screen. The Tab S8 Plus also didn’t fail to impress, housing a 12.4-inch display alongside a 2800 x 1752 resolution. There’s a solid 8GB of RAM and of course S-Pen support. Both include a 13MP camera, 6MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP front camera. C’mon, you weren’t thinking of using your Tab as a replacement for a high end smartphone camera were you?

TechRadar were also quite enamoured with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Bringing a 14.6-inch display screen to the table, the Tab S8 Ultra is almost as big as some laptop screens and with variants that include 8GB, 12GB and even 16GB of RAM, it certainly earns the “Ultra” in its name. Expect a gorgeous 120Hz Super AMOLED 2960 x 1848 display alongside a massive 11,200mAh battery which really changes what to expect from a tablet these days…
